Kilit Hospitality Group Meets with Young Talents at Akdeniz University During Turkish Cuisine Week

As part of the “Turkish Cuisine Week” celebrations held between May 21–27, Kilit Hospitality Group participated in a panel organized by Akdeniz University Göynük Culinary Arts Vocational School.

The event brought together chefs from Nirvana Hotels and Crystal Hotels, alongside seasoned hospitality professionals and academics, to explore the values and future of Turkish cuisine. Key topics included the international representation of Turkish flavors, the sustainability of regional dishes, the cultural journey of Turkish coffee, innovations in culinary education, and professional development in pastry arts. Chefs from Nirvana Hotels and Crystal Hotels, together with experienced industry experts and educators, shared valuable insights on the evolving landscape of Turkish gastronomy. This inspiring panel served as a guide for young professionals aspiring to build a career in the culinary world.

Adil Gürkan, Corporate Communications and Training Director at Kilit Hospitality Group, and İhsan Somuncu, Director of Human Resources, took part in a special session titled “A Journey Through Taste: Education, Mastery, and Career Development in Culinary and Hospitality Services,” where they shared their experiences with the next generation. The panel provided both inspiration and direction, offering students valuable perspectives on industry trends and career pathways.
